Games Workshop Chaos Warband:

 Having been inspired by Dan Abnett's book "First and Only" into starting a corrupted Imperial Guard army based on The Shriven troops from his novel, I sorta got sucked into the realm of Chaos what with working on an adjunct set of Chaos Space Marines to accompany them and the recent release of the new Chaos Codex by Games Workshop.

 I plan on posting entries and works-in-progress on this page for my Chaos Warband troops as I go along. I'm still fleshing out most of the tentative backstory details, so for right now I'll cut right to the chase and just post some pictures.

 As of right now, I plan on calling them The Disciples of the Four, as in zealous worshippers of GW's Four Gods of Chaos. I'm considering them an offshoot of the Word Bearers, just because I like the scheme, but rather than being "merely" content with worship of the Chaos Gods spiritually (and with the usual forced enslavement and conversion to worship of whole planet populations, creation of atmospheric-scaled monuments and temples on conquered worlds, etc.) they want to demonstrate the power and strength of Chaos physically as well, with the warband rife with physical corruption and mutation as the troops work higher in the ranks and get "closer" to the Gods they adore.

 Here's the rough color scheme for my Warband - I plan on making use of lots of inducted troops so as to allow for variety in colors and painting styles (and to prevent boredom - very important!):
