Time

J. Thomas Walker

It Eddies around me
Tugging gently but Insistently
I feel its warmth and Order envelop me
I go with it Helpless to resist
But at some Point my Spirit must break free
Teeth like a steel trap gnaw at my bones
Flesh slowly torn from my being

The very thing which supports me
eats away at me,
And yet I cling to it, clutching it, loving it
I look upon the horizon and see there in the distance chaos, beautiful chaos
I choose however not to leave and stand where I am, time flowing around me
Dreaming of what it would be
