The distant sound of the bagpipes at the cemetery, playing a slow air or "Amazing Grace", penetrates the soul and comforts the heart like no other instrument can. The bagpipes can be included at the funeral home, chapel, or church as well as the graveside.

The possibilities include: Amazing Grace played for the recessional while the casket is carried out to the hearse. Solemn tunes piped as the casket is removed from the hearse and carried to the graveside or chapel. An appropriate tune such as "Amazing Grace", played at the beginning, middle, or end of the service. Slow airs piped as guests silently say their farewells. Bagpiper playing off in the distance as the guests are leaving.

A Bagpiper playing before and after a military service is a moving and powerful tribute. Kim has been commissioned to play the bagpipes for many of the area's military funerals. Both retired veterans, and recently fallen soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan.
