Cats In Need Deserve Every Resource
The
Story of Spotty
Our beloved Spotty was the first cat to be assisted by C.I.N.D.E.R. Left behind at an abandoned trailer park, he was rescued by a lady who had him neutered and then contacted me for help with placing him. Even though C.I.N.D.E.R. is not a placement/adoption organization Spotty had such a sweet, gentle way about him, and because he was very ill, we couldn't say no. We thought him to be about two years old but in those two years, Spotty suffered a lifetime of illness.
He went to our veterinarians who treated his upper respiratory illness and diagnosed another problem with the cartilage in his throat, which contributed to his breathing difficulties. He went through multiple tests and countless medications until the issues were resolved as well as could be expected. Throughout all of this, and the three months he stayed with the vets, he continued to be his sweet self, head butting everyone he came into contact with. Loving every bit of attention lavished upon him, he quickly became a favorite of anyone who knew him. Finally, last summer Spotty found his forever home with a wonderful lady who adopted him and gave him a real home for the first time in his life.
Spotty became ill again, a few weeks ago, and was
diagnosed with cancer. He was relieved of all pain and illness and sent to the
Rainbow Bridge on June 23, 2006, leaving behind many who loved him. Goodbye
sweet boy, we will miss you forever and remember you always.
