Before
he joined WideOpenWest Michael Steinkirchner worked as
director of video services for RCN Corporation, the nation's
first and largest competitive provider of cable television,
Internet, and telephone services. In this position Mike
directed RCN's video strategy, including programming,
pricing, packaging, digital deployments, and new product
development. He also negotiated programming agreements,
managed basic, premium, and pay-per-view marketing campaigns,
and directed RCN's local origination studio facilities
and cable television advertising sales business. He began
his career in 1989 with RCN's predecessor company, C-TEC
Cable Systems, Inc.
Before serving as director of video services, Mike held
various positions, including video product manager, corporate
marketing manager, pay-per-view manager and marketing
analyst. A graduate of King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA,
he holds a B.S. in business administration.
