Bob
Backle brings to WideOpenWest more than 30 years of sales,
customer service, and management experience. Most recently
he worked as senior account executive for RCN Corporation.
At RCN, Bob's responsibilities included sales management
of all new construction projects in Manhattan and Northern
New Jersey. He coordinated the build-out of new communications
systems among the owner/developers, their contractors,
and the engineering and legal departments. He developed
the sales proposal process for new construction projects,
and was responsible for developing and implementing a
sales process for handling the delicate task of upgrading
buildings to a new fiber-optic system.
Bob brings his creative energy as well as his proven ability
as a self-starter to help establish WideOpenWest in various
markets. For ten years prior to his association with RCN,
Bob was a New Jersey-licensed real estate broker specializing
in commercial and business transactions. He managed three
offices, as well as a residential real estate tax appeal
service.
Previously, Bob also started--and successfully owned and
operated--an animation camera service and film production
studio in New York City. Bob attended the Fairleigh Dickinson
University School of Engineering and served four years
in the United States Air Force as a cryptographic electronic
technician.
