Games Workshop Blood Bowl Skaven: |
| Back to Gallery | |
Here are some painted Skaven from the Games Workshop Blood Bowl game painted in the early 90's. The white-furred kicker marks the first figure I actually painted solidly white scheme-wise while trying to get reasonable shading and differentiation in color, whereas the metallics on all of them were done with my technique at the time with a thinned coat of Games Workshop metallic paint washed with black - fairly simple, but reasonably effective in appearance. I think the checker pattern on the thrower's waist-cloth turned out fairly well - other than the GW Eldar Harlequin elsewhere in the Gallery, this was one of my first attempts at painting a checkerboard pattern over folds and depressions in cloth. If I remember right, I drew in lines with a ballpoint pen and then went over everything with Black Ink/Black Paint, going back to touch up the highlights after the fact. |
