Grenadier Fantasy Classics Demon, AKA "Demogorgon": |
This figure was painted around 1990-1 to represent Demogorgon, the two-headed demon from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. He was painted with enamel paints, and the blending of colors and shading washes were done with careful mixtures of paint with mineral spirits. One effect I think turned out particularly well was the application of brushed-on gloss lacquer on the eyes and blackened tentacles to give them a "slimy" effect. He eventually ended up as part of a small "demon" diorama with a number of other demonic-type figures. |
